Leading MeetingsDecision Making Decision-making can seem like a straightforward skill. However, as individuals climb the ladder, decisions tend to get more and more complex. This session covers those complexities. Who are the individuals that will be impacted by this decision? How do you make a decision when you don’t have all the information that you’d like in order to feel well informed? And lastly, how do you make sure you’ve considered all the aspects of the problem? We’ll address all of these questions by providing mindsets, frameworks, and skills to tackle any decision.

INSIGHTS DISCOVERYUnderstand and adapt We all have communication preferences. Some write one-line emails; others construct five-paragraph prose. We use different words, visuals, data, and sentence structures. In order to get others to listen, pay attention, and be motivated to action, we must understand our own and adapt to other communication styles. The Insights Discovery tool helps. LEADERS NARRATIVEUsing the power of story to avoid the big yawn Some people are entertaining storytellers. However, simply being witty is not the winning recipe for a memorable story. Using the power of story is more than simply avoiding the big yawn. It’s a way to reach the hearts and minds of listeners, inspire others to action and make something memorable. A good story told well can communicate complex ideas in a simple, repeatable way. It can set context quickly and connect the speaker with their audience on an authentic emotional level.

SELLING SKILLSSocratic relationship based selling The art of selling is the ability to establish a successful, professional relationship. While your products and services are always better than those of the competition, the description of features and benefits often sound the same to the customer. We believe that a competitive differentiator is the ability to establish a trusted relationship faster than the competition. Socratic selling skills ensure that a salesperson understands the customer’s perspective. This is the first step in developing a successful, professional relationship. The art of Socratic conversation builds on this first step and establishes credibility while knowing how to deal with pushback and objections to push for an advancement.
STORYTELLINGImpact, influence, and motivate with story Stories are significantly more memorable than data and facts alone. In fact, our brain becomes so stimulated by the story that some listeners might feel like they experienced the story personally. How to craft the perfect story with impact, influence, and motivation in mind, can be difficult. This workshop is designed to teach participants the different ways to grab attention and ensure retention in a compelling, memorable, and linear way. This audience-focused approach can be used within any conversation, presentation, or meeting situation.

As you rise in the ranks as a leader, you become more removed from the frontline of the business. This is the key reason why it's so important to leverage your team's knowledge and expertise as you look to make major decisions. This class helps you determine how to create spaces for collective intelligence and understand your role as a leader in those spaces.
