Podcast with Lyndsay Rush and Allie LeFevere, Co-Founders of Obedient Agency

On Season 4 Episode 1 of the Think Like A Founder podcast, Maureen Taylor interviews Lyndsay Rush and Allie LeFevere.

Lyndsay Rush and Allie LeFevere are the Co-Founders of Obedient Agency. Obedient is a humor branding and marketing agency that uses strategic fun to turn businesses into unforgettable brands. They seek to bring more levity, positivity, and personality into both marketing and the world.

Prior to founding Obedient, Allie and Lyndsay both ran their own businesses. Allie founded Shameless.ly, a strategy-packed hub to help businesses build compelling, risk-taking brands, and Lynsday ran a copywriting business, working for brands like Chick-fil-A, The Dallas Cowboys, and Argent.

We knew that it had to be something that would catch your eye and make you think they have a lot of guts. If they’re going to name themselves that it certainly can’t be what it sounds like. – Lyndsay Rush

The word obedient is very subversive. Especially as two women founders, we thought it was a really fun turn of phrase to say that we’re doing it opposite. – Allie LeFevere

On this episode of Think Like A Founder, SNP’s Co-Founder & CEO, Maureen Taylor gets Lyndsay’s and Allie’s thoughts on…

  1. Integrity
  2. Asking “why not?” instead of “why?”
  3. Not playing a coward’s game

OH SN*P

Back in 2013, Asana was still a young company and some of their managers were experiencing leadership roles for the first time. So they needed to learn how to be, well, leaders. Like how to be more influential, directive, confident, and how to deal with conflict. Because if they could flourish then Asana could start to scale even faster (and without so many growing pains).

Enter SNP.

We started with just one 1:1 coaching relationship. But the good word spread fast. Soon enough more people from Asana’s management team were seeking our unique third party perspective, skill-based approach, and communications expertise to build their personal brand, strengthen their careers, and achieve more. (And did we mention the coaching program was a perk that attracted new talent? We didn’t? Well…) Eight years later and Asana is still scaling. And we’re still by their side helping them do it.
